1. South Africa
Limpopo Province
This province creates an opportunity for a great, diverse hunting
experience. The habitat can change from fairly open savannah to
densely wooded hills. Further north the bushveld dries out into
typical woodland dotted with Boabab trees. This habitat diversity
has resulted in an amazingly rich mammal fauna. Most species can
be hunted in this province although this is not always preferred.
We travel to other provinces for selected species. |

Mpumalanga Province
This hunt is conducted in areas that vary from a mountainous terrain
in a subtropical climate in the areas surrounding Nelspruit to drier
Acacia veldt. Further east lays the Kruger National Park which is
known for its photographic safari opportunities.
Free State and Eastern Cape
The Free State is a very characteristic flat, grassy area. There
is a steady wind blowing. The vegetation and the landscape allows
for primarily long distance shots (up to 300m). Flat shooting rifles
from .270 to .300 are ideal.
The Eastern Cape consists of coastal forests through to semi desert
plains and mountain ranges where there is a wide range of species
available. Specific species such as Black wildebeest, Springbuck
and Bontebok are available in these provinces.
Chacma Safaris has a concession between Frankfort and Vrede where
we can hunt for memorable trophies.
Natal
The vegetation is thick, tropical bushveldt that demands a lot
of stalking to hunt some of the more elusive species such as nyala.
The province stretches along the coast and this allows for rolling
hills and beautiful coastal scenery. Species that are own to this
province are the Nyala, Red Duiker and Livingstone Suni. Our concessions
are in the Pongola area.
2. Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe is a country of almost 39 075 700 hectares, bordered by
South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana and Zambia.
The habitat ranges
from tropical woodlands and savannah interspersed with areas of
grassland. Zimbabwe offer dangerous game hunting and the hunting
areas boasts of huge game populations.
Our hunting concessions vary
from an area close to West Nicolson, to Binga on Lake Kariba. |

3. Botswana
The Kalahari Desert covers almost the entire country. This country
not only contains sand dunes but also great flat plains, mountain
and hill ranges, and seasonal pans that hold water for only a few
weeks once in several years. Surrounded by the Kalahari Desert lays
a huge inland delta, which covers 15 000 square kilometers, fed
by the flow of the Okavango river.
Our hunting concession is renowned for its Big Five hunts. Breathtaking
views, superb accommodation and numerous hunting options make these
concessions exclusive. The concessions border on the Chobe National
Park, Moremi Game Reserve and the Hwange National Park on the Botswana
side.

4. Namibia
With the Namib Desert to the west, and the Kalahari Desert to the
east, experience the sheer exhilaration a hunter would experience
when hunting a springbuck in the vast open plains of the land between
two deserts.
Unspoiled nature and vast open plains where herds of
animals grazing are distinctive of this magnificent landscape.
Flat
shooting rifles from .270 to .300 are ideal. The Springbuck and
Gemsbuck are the most common game to hunt in the wide-open plains.
Sparse vegetation and nearly no camouflage makes hunting an adventure.
This is also one of the last natural habitats left for the Cheetah
to roam free. |
5. Mozambique
In Northern Mozambique the vegetation is primarily Miombo woodlands
interspersed with open savannah and wetlands (grassy depressions
where water collects).
Our hunting concessions lay primarily in the Niassa Province of
Mozambique which is the least developed with the lowest density
population. It is one of the largest protected miombo forest ecosystems
in the world with surface of 42 000 square kilometers. It contains
the greatest concentration of wildlife in the country.
